meeting tonight, Glastonbury Broadcasting
Ltd
MD will be releasing information that is expected to see share prices in
the Glastonbury based broadcaster TREBLE in price overnight!
A number of new job positions are
being created including the appointment of three new Directors, namely a
FRANCHISE DIRECTOR, a SALES DIRECTOR and a TECHNICAL DIRECTOR for the
expanding company.
Also, TWO former BBC Radio 1
presenters and a well known comedian will be announced as starting shows on
Glastonbury Radio soon. Already the company announced the arrival of former
Radio1 and Top of the Pops presenter Paul Burnett who will start a
new show in March called LEGENDS of GLASTONBURY all about artistes and bands
that have played at the festival in the past.
In a time where the word
"recession" is being included in almost every business
conversation, MD Ross Hemsworth has been nominated for two business awards
and has already turned down numerous "head-hunting" offers from
other broadcast companies.
Ross said today..
"I said
almost ten years ago that online radio was the future and that DAB would
never work, and at the time the media industry laughed at me. Now US
research company Arbitron is proving me correct by announcing last week that
over 60 million people listen to online radio each week in the USA alone!"
Glastonbury Broadcasting is
also launching a new radio network soon called CELEBRITY RADIO where
high profile celebs present their own shows, audio blogs and gossip
programmes and there are rumours that a very big social networking site want
to come on board!
Former Radio 1
legend joins Glastonbury Radio
Paul Burnett
is well known for his time on daytime Radio 1 for the BBC and on pirate
radio but now he is moving
with
the new generation of broadcasting into ONLINE DIGITAL RADIO....
The fast-growing Glastonbury Radio
(part of Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd) announced today that he will be
presenting a weekly show on the station and has also become a shareholder of
the company.
It wasn't that long ago that online
radio was thought of as just "bedroom wannabees on broadband" but
now according to US research company ARBITRON, over 60 million people a week
are listening into online radio stations in the USA alone!
Managing Director Ross Hemsworth who
founded the company back in March 2007 said today..
"..we
are very pleased to have Paul on board, he is a living legend in radio in
this country and will be a great addition to the company and to the
station's output. But this is just the first, we will soon be announcing
other well known names who will be joining us as the company grows towards
its ambition to be the world's No.1 online broadcaster"
In times of gloom -
UK broadcaster expands to offer franchised radio stations!
| Now almost anyone can run a
potentially profitable radio station from their home after today's
announcement by Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd |
From PRLog
(Press Release) – Feb 09, 2009
Many people who look to set up their
own businesses, will have explored the franchise magazines and exhibitions
for exciting opportunities, but until now these have been mainly printing,
cleaning, retail, food or accounting type businesses, but now you could own
and run your own radio station from home from just £5000.
Glastonbury
Broadcasting Ltd who have run Glastonbury Radio for two years, have built
and fine-tuned a business model that they are now about to release as
"one of the most exciting franchise opportunities of recent years"
The package will include all the equipment and software needed to start
their own online digital radio station, and back up to help them sell
advertising, find sponsors and to learn how to run their own global radio
station.
Ross Hemsworth, Managing Director of the company, said today "until
now, most affordable franchises have either been wheelie bin cleaning
services or business card printers, but I believe this to be a far more
exciting opportunity for entrepreneurs and people who may have been made
redundant and are seeking a business of their own"
"In a time when the world has been talking of a recession, we are
seeing business boom and we want to pass this trend on to others who can
follow our successful business model" Hemsworth said from his office in
Glastonbury UK earlier today.
Online radio was recently quoted by research company Arbitron as having in
excess of 54 million listeners a week in the USA alone, and with he rise of
the Internet worldwide, faster speeds and more Wifi, there has never been a
brighter time for Internet businesses such as this. People can talk to the
world from the comfort of their own homes or even build a proper studio in
an outhouse or commercial premises!
Ross's own show Now THAT'S Weird is now syndicated globally with an
estimated audience of over 500,000 weekly listeners (http://www.nowthatsweird.co.uk)
Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd are now looking to take on an established
Franchise Director to run this new side of their expanding business.

One of the UK's
leading online broadcasters is giving celebrities a chance to have their own
radio shows and "rants" in a new service launching this
spring/summer.
Celebrity
Radio is the brainchild of Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd who run the hugely
successful Glastonbury Radio and will allow celebs to make their shows in the
comfort of their own homes and just upload to the radio site ready for
broadcast!
A number of celebrities are already being lined up with a mixture of talk,
music and "rant" shows being discussed although no details are being
released as yet.
Managing Director Ross Hemsworth said today "there is a massive
interest in people having their own radio shows and podcasts and celebrities
are no different, it gives them a chance to show another side of themselves to
a truly global audience"
Celebrity Radio will be a FREE radio service available online only with a
subscription archive section to listen to broadcasts they may have missed.
The service is expected to attract millions of hits from around the world with
further big names joining up as the service gets underway.
As all around us
talk of a recession and exchange stories of doom and gloom, online
broadcasters continue to see an upwards trend of more listeners, more
advertisers and rising share values!

Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd saw another
rise in their share values today with initial £1 shares now selling at almost
£2000 per share! Although not floated, private investors are predicting
another "Google or Myspace" with the company eventually being sold
for millions.
So what is making Glastonbury Radio successful where others have failed? Well
according to MD Ross Hemsworth "strong management, holding your nerve
and taking chances when others would be cutting back, and seeing the
opportunities a so called recession poses"
There is little doubt now in media circles that
online broadcasting is the future of the media and even ad agencies are now
turning their attention to this lucrative marketplace pulling clients out of
TV and FM radio advertising for new and more interactive audiences online.
Glastonbury Broadcasting today announce their plans to FRANCHISE radio
stations to people who want to cash in on the bright future, running local and
international stations form their homes with great potential earnings form
advertising and pay-per-show presenters. MD Ross Hemsworth said today,..
"We
will be at the major franchise exhibitions soon with something far more
attractive then 'wheelie bin cleaning' or 'home printing businesses' - people
can now set up a radio station for under £5000 with all the equipment and
broadcast worldwide!!"
Affordable in-shop radio stations for retail outlets launched.
A new plan to
inject life back into retail shop radio networks has been announced today:-
Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd is putting together radio packages aimed to be
beamed to high street shops via the Internet at a far more affordable rate
than has ever been available before!
Many shoppers have heard "in-house radio" before beating through
fashion shops whilst they chose their clothes, but now even smaller retailers
can have custom radio stations broadcast direct into their shops via a normal
broadband connection!
The new service called "The Radio Shoppe" is the innovation of
broadcaster Ross Hemsworth from Glastonbury, MD of Glastonbury Broadcasting
Ltd who have been streaming Glastonbury Radio to the world for two years.
Speaking from the company's HQ today he said "the beauty of this
service, is we do it all, we get the presenters, we make the shows, and just
send them the feed which they can use in their shops on speakers, on their
websites and even beam to world via the Internet via radio devices like The
Imp Radio"
Smaller retailers can share a feed with others but having their own adverts
running and their own set programmes on a shared channel on a time-split basis
to keep the costs down.
Ross added "setting up an in house radio station is very expensive as
is FM, but our networks are affordable even to the small shop owner who could
have his own radio station from less than £2500 a year! Equivalent to £6.84
a day!"
